HUNTSVILLE, AR β The Huntsville School District is thrilled to announce that all students at every campusβHuntsville and St. Paul alikeβwill receive FREE breakfast and lunch every school day beginning in the 2025β2026 school year. Thanks to years of preparation, hard work, and strong community support, this benefit will continue through the 2028β2029 school year under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
This means that no meal applications will be required and every student eats for freeβregardless of income status.
How Did We Get Here?
This achievement was made possible by meeting two critical goals:
Our Identified Student Percentage (ISP) stayed above 25%, allowing the district to qualify for CEP.
Over 70% of families completed free and reduced lunch applications, enabling the district to significantly increase ESA (Educational Support and Accountability) funding needed to sustain the program.
βThis incredible opportunity wouldnβt be possible without the partnership of our families and community,β said Bryan Law, Superintendent. βBy completing applications and engaging with our efforts, you helped make this dream a reality.β
What This Means for Families
All students will eat breakfast and lunch at no cost.
No free/reduced meal applications will be required through the 2028β2029 school year.
Families can enjoy fewer financial and paperwork burdens, while students benefit from consistent, nutritious meals every day.
Why This Matters
Proper nutrition is key to academic success, focus, and emotional well-being. By removing barriers to meals, Huntsville School District is investing in every studentβs potential.
This is a huge win for our students, our families, and our community. Weβre proud to say: in HSD, everyone eats.
