Mrs. May’s class is studying Entrepreneurship. They got to visit Mrs. Goodman’s High School Food Factory to learn about start up costs, target audience, marketing, product safety, production time and consistency in production. Afterwards, Mr. May’s Survey of Business class showed them the business projects they’ve been working on. Thank you to Mr. Skipper for shuttling them around!

1. Register TOMORROW NIGHT at Sweet & Savory HIS Fundraiser to get your Seller ID. Then, enter our Group ID: 017648.

2. Then, share your links for brochure, text messages and emails with Grandparents, Family, Friends & Social Media. THEY ARE YOUR #1 SUPPORTERS!

3. Student Goal: SELL just 5 & join your friends at a Popsicle Party with Extra Recess. Also, turn in your coupons as you achieve your goals. The more goals you achieve, the more Paw-some Collectibles you receive.

Progress Reports will be coming home today. Remember you can always check your Childs grades by HAC or Grade way. Please work with your child nightly with multiplication fact fluency. Friday: Due to the parade and homecoming festivities this Friday the 19th, 3rd grade lunch will stay the same. 4th grade lunch will be from 11:40-12:10, and 5th grade lunch will be from 12:20-12:50. If you are planning on picking up another child or your child is riding with another adult we will need written permission of these changes. Please remember to allow enough time for us to call your child out of class and for them to gather their things.

Starting from the left we have Pauline Taylor (Administrative assistant) , Kaela Hawkins (Principal), Jerdeana Henderson (Secretary), and Jennifer Eaton (School Counselor). They are the unsung heroes who keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. They’re the first to greet students with a smile, the ones who organize the chaos, and the calm in the storm when things get hectic. Their dedication and care make the school environment a better place for everyone. Sometimes, it's not the loudest voices that create the most impact, but the ones who work silently and steadily behind the scenes, making sure everything is in place for success.

Starting from the left middle row we have Jana Honeycutt, Carrie Eoff, Jenna Wagoner, and Jonathon "Skipper" Speece. Last two in the third row starting from the left, Christin Kelly, and Nicole Bellinger. Behind every great classroom there is an outstanding paraprofessional. Their support makes success possible for our students and teachers. 🦅❤

This is a reminder, the 3rd grade students will be having lunch with their grandparents in celebration of Grandparents Day, this Friday September 12th from 10:30-11:30.

NWA Naturals Read for Tickets Challenge Presented by Arkansas Tech University: All HIS students who read for at least 30 minutes per day during the week of August 25th will receive two complimentary Dugout Premium tickets to the September 2nd baseball game. All readers will be recognized on the field/videoboard pregame. The Reading Form for the students is attached and copies are available at the office.

All parents/guardians are invited to attend our first P.I.E. meeting of the school year! It will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd, at 4:15 pm in the HIS Library. Please join in and help us make this a groovy year for our students!
