January is School Board Appreciation Month, and we would like to sincerely thank our School Board members for their service to the Huntsville School District. Our school board members are volunteers who assume critical responsibilities to help support public education and exemplify strong and consistent leadership that is aligned with the community's values. Their goal is always focused on the future success of the children at HSD. Thank you for all you do!
After careful consideration and evaluation of our current road conditions, we have decided that due to the still poor road conditions and being unable to run our bus routes safely, we will not be able to have school tomorrow, Friday, January 19th. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Thank you!

Out of an abundance of caution due to the predicted inclement weather, the Huntsville School District will be closed on Friday, January 12th. This will be a snow day. A reminder that announcements regarding school closings, delays, and early dismissals due to inclement weather will be posted on HSD's website, social media, and our app. All parents/guardians who have proper contact information on file will also receive an automated call and/or text through the automated messaging system. Please make sure your contact info with the school is up-to-date. Download the Huntsville School District App in the App Store or Google Play Store. Also, make sure you are familiar with our inclement weather routes if your child rides a school bus, as we will be needing to utilize these limited routes from time to time.
