Behind the scenes, she works tirelessly to support our students, staff, and families while helping create a positive, welcoming environment for everyone at Huntsville Middle School. Her dedication, leadership, and heart for people truly make a difference each and every day.

We are so grateful for all she does and we love her for the amazing person she is!

Today we celebrate Mrs. Bolinger for Librarian Appreciation Day! 📚 She helps our students discover new interests, build a love for reading, and always feel welcome in the library. HMS is better because of her! We’re thankful for all she does!

We wrapped up our March Hygiene Challenge with four student winners! 🎉 They earned it by donating hygiene products to help others and their names were drawn in our weekly drawings. Thank you for making a difference at HMS! Colby Smith, Christopher Williams, Jayden Rivas, and Dezy Webber!

April is Autism Awareness Month 💙 We’re grateful to the Huntsville High School Transition class for the shirts and for helping us show our support!

Our HMS History Club took learning beyond the classroom on Monday with a field trip to the Military Museum at Drake Field! 🇺🇸✈️ Students explored artifacts, stories, and history up close, bringing their learning to life in a powerful way. We love seeing their curiosity and enthusiasm for history in action—what a great experience for our students! 👏

Our Outdoor Education students have been putting in serious work in Hunter Education! 🎯🌲 Many students have successfully passed the course and earned their certification cards. We’re proud of their effort, responsibility, and commitment to learning important safety skills in the outdoors. Way to go, students! 👏🐾

Hard work is paying off in Mrs. Kirk’s social studies classes! 🎉📚 These students have been working hard and have met their proficiency goal by strengthening their ability to cite evidence from text within their social studies learning. Their dedication to digging deeper and supporting their thinking is paying off——focused, determined, and getting the job done! 💪📖 We’re proud of their growth and effort. Way to go, Mrs. Kirk and students! 👏

Mrs. Cotton’s science classes are giving us something to celebrate! 🎉🔬 We’re so proud of the hard work and determination these students have shown in reaching their proficiency goals. Students have been putting in the effort day in and day out—and it shows! We’re proud of these students—although not all are pictured, their success is worth celebrating! Way to go, Mrs. Cotton and students! 👏🧪

Lights, camera, learning! 🎬✨ Our HMS students rolled out the red carpet at the EAST Conference and brought their movie-themed projects to life! Their creativity, innovation, and hard work were on full display. We are so proud of the way they represented our school—true stars on and off the carpet! 🌟🍿

A couple of weeks ago, our students took time to focus on something just as important as academics—behavior and decision-making. While students at HMS work hard every day on their learning, we also make it a priority to teach skills that help them succeed in life. Our school counselor stepped in to lead a lesson on impulse control, giving students tools to make positive choices both in and out of the classroom. We appreciate the impact our team has in helping shape well-rounded students!

Club Time is so SWEET! Students in the Cookie Club got to bake cookies and the Little Free Pantry Club restocked the HMS pantry with treats last Friday! We sure enjoyed the sunshine! ☀️

📣Shoutout to this Team for working hard and putting in the effort to FILL their tub full of hygiene products for our HMS Hygiene Drive! Keep up the awesomeness and keep bringing those hygiene items!!

🎣 First Fish Alert! Several of our students recently caught their very first fish in Outdoor Ed, and the smiles say it all! We love seeing students try new things, build confidence, and enjoy learning outside the classroom. Way to go, anglers! 🐟👏

We were honored to have Huntsville Mayor Mr. Dotson spend time speaking with our EAST students on March 4th. We know his schedule is busy, and we truly appreciate him taking the time to invest in our students. Thank you for supporting and encouraging the next generation in Huntsville! 👏

📚 Blind Date with a Book was a hit!

It was so fun seeing students take a chance on a new book and get excited about reading.

🙌 HUGE Thank you to Boston Mountain for donating hygiene products for our hygiene drive! Items will be donated to Bright Futures to support our students!

📣🌿 Exciting News for Huntsville Middle School! Huntsville Middle School has been awarded $5,432.13 through the Arkansas Game and Fish Wildlife Education Grant Program! 🎉 This funding will support our students by giving them even more opportunities to learn through hands-on outdoor experiences. A huge thank you to Mr. Jared Henry for pursuing this grant and helping expand opportunities for our students. These resources will be used in our Outdoor Education class, helping students connect with nature, conservation, and real-world science. 🌎🐟🌲 We are grateful to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Division of Rural Services for investing in our students and their learning!

Spring Picture Day will be this Thursday, March 12!

Please remember: students will only have their photo taken if a picture order is placed. To make sure your student is photographed, you must either:
✔️ Order online, (visit my.lifetouch.com and the Picture Day ID: EVTXXZ7GC) or
✔️ Send the picture envelope back to school with payment. (These will be sent home today)

If you would like your student to participate in Spring Pictures, be sure to complete one of these options by Thursday. We can’t wait to see all those bright spring smiles! 😊

Mrs. Baldwin‘s seventh grade literacy students participated in a digital escape room hosted in the library by Mrs. Bolinger. Students used reading comprehension and critical thinking skills from their recent novel study of the outsiders by SE Hinton. Way to go Eagles! 🦅
