A huge THANK YOU to Lillian Samuels and Black Hills Energy for their donations of fidgets, hygiene products, gloves, laundry sanitizer, school supplies, and several other needed items!! These items will be utilized to support our scholars in many different ways! Thank you for supporting our Huntsville Middle School Eagles! 🦅

The Little Free Pantry at the bottom of the HMS Hill got some much needed restoration today! Mrs. Brown and Mr. Henry took a group of student leaders to paint the exposed wood and restock the available pantry items! If the Little Free Pantry is full, food donations can be dropped off at the front office at HMS. Our counselor and student leaders will continue to check the pantry and restock with donated items. Thank you!

☀️🎉 🎄Smiles all around thanks to our Sunshine & Staff Morale Team! They brightened the day by popping into classrooms and letting staff punch cups to reveal fun surprise prizes. We’re so grateful for our HMS team that brings joy, laughter, and positivity to our school every day!

🎄🎅 Day 11 of our 12 Days of Christmas was Holly Jolly Hat Day, and the cuteness was off the charts! From Santa hats and antlers to elf hats and everything in between, our students and staff brought ALL the holiday cheer. Our elf also drew a winner from the “Most Fun Teacher” box—congrats to Mr. Henry! 🎉✨

Today we recognized several classes for meeting a proficiency group goal in ELA. 👏 Mrs. Melissa Watkins’ 4th, 5th, and 8th period classes met the goal on determining how a theme is developed over the course of a text. 👏 Mr. Taylor’s 6th and 8th period classes met the goal on comparing and contrasting how an individual idea is portrayed in written text and multimedia. While not every class is pictured, all were celebrated today—great work, students and teachers! 🎉

🎉 Big accomplishment! 🎉 This past week in Outdoor Ed class, 107 of our middle school students passed their Boater Education test! Way to go for putting safety first and working hard to earn this certification. We’re so proud of you!

This holiday season, our Junior FFA club put service first by delivering Christmas cards to residents at local nursing homes 🎅🎄 Thank you for spreading joy and showing what it means to lead with kindness!

PJs yesterday, cozy Christmas sweaters today! 💤🎄 Our halls are full of comfy clothes, festive fits, and LOTS of holiday cheer!

🎨💻 Our Computer Aided Design students, led by Mr. Taylor, put their vector graphic skills to work by designing Welcome to Madison County artwork for Huntsville! Today, Mayor Travis Dotson and Judge Larry Garrett visited the class to view student designs and see their creativity in action. What an incredible real-world learning experience!

📚🎉 Celebrating Academic Success! 🎉📚 We’re proud to recognize several classes for reaching an important academic milestone! Congratulations to Mrs. Baldwin’s 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th period classes and Mrs. Porter’s 1st, 3rd, and 5th period classes for meeting their proficiency goal. Students showed strong understanding of the standard focused on determining how an author develops multiple points of view, and their hard work truly paid off. Way to go to these students and teachers for their dedication and focus on learning! 👏📖

🎅🎄 Holiday Cheer at HMS! 🎄🎅 Santa and elves paid a special visit to our campus today thanks to Builder’s Club, and our amazing PTSO treated every student to hot cocoa and cookies during lunch. ☕🍪 Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make this such a fun and festive day at HMS! ❤️✨

☕️✨ A Little Sunshine for Our Staff! ✨☕️ Our Sunshine & Staff Morale team brewed up a cheerful surprise today with coffee bars in both teacher lounges — and Sparkles the Elf was right in the middle of it, adding her own festive magic! It was the perfect boost to power us through to Friday. Congratulations to Mrs. Kirk, our awesome staff winner of the day! 🎉 We’re so grateful for the thoughtful touches that make our school feel so special. Thanks to everyone who helps keep the smiles (and the caffeine!) flowing! 💛👏

🌟 Underground 6–7 Day! 🌟 Today we celebrated the 67th day of school in true HMS fashion — with our very own Underground 6–7 Day! From creative lessons, music with 6-7, themed outfits, and even a brave staff member who even shaved his head, the day was full of surprises, laughter, and school spirit. 😂🙌 We love when our teachers go all-in to make learning memorable. Here’s to Day 67 and all the fun still ahead this year! 🎉📚

This warm support is greatly appreciated! 🧥 Winter donations are still needed and can be dropped off at the front office until Dec. 19th!
