This past Tuesday, the HMS Outdoor Ed Fishing Derby was a huge success! Students reeled in catfish ranging from 1 lb to 4.7 lbs — what a catch! 🐟

We’re so proud of our students for working hard and giving their best effort every day during testing. To celebrate their dedication, students earned tickets for their hard work and had the choice to:

Thursday night was filled with harmony and heart!
Our choir students gave a beautiful performance that left the audience inspired and proud. Huge thanks to Ms. Williams for her leadership, dedication, and love for music—she’s helped these students grow and shine all semester long. And a special thank you to our pianist, Mrs. Brenda Embry, whose beautiful accompaniment added so much to the evening. What a night to remember!

Our band concert on Tuesday was a huge success—our talented students truly played their hearts out! A big shoutout to Mrs. Skaggs and Mr. Johnson for their incredible dedication and hard work this semester. We’re so grateful for the time, energy, and passion they pour into our music program. Bravo to all!

Students who have purchased a yearbook by May 16th are invited to a special event during 3rd period in the cafeteria. They’ll have the chance to pick up their yearbook, collect signatures from friends, and reminisce over the memories of the past school year.
