Mrs. Cotton’s science classes are giving us something to celebrate! 🎉🔬 We’re so proud of the hard work and determination these students have shown in reaching their proficiency goals. Students have been putting in the effort day in and day out—and it shows! We’re proud of these students—although not all are pictured, their success is worth celebrating! Way to go, Mrs. Cotton and students! 👏🧪

Lights, camera, learning! 🎬✨ Our HMS students rolled out the red carpet at the EAST Conference and brought their movie-themed projects to life! Their creativity, innovation, and hard work were on full display. We are so proud of the way they represented our school—true stars on and off the carpet! 🌟🍿

A couple of weeks ago, our students took time to focus on something just as important as academics—behavior and decision-making. While students at HMS work hard every day on their learning, we also make it a priority to teach skills that help them succeed in life. Our school counselor stepped in to lead a lesson on impulse control, giving students tools to make positive choices both in and out of the classroom. We appreciate the impact our team has in helping shape well-rounded students!

Club Time is so SWEET! Students in the Cookie Club got to bake cookies and the Little Free Pantry Club restocked the HMS pantry with treats last Friday! We sure enjoyed the sunshine! ☀️

📣Shoutout to this Team for working hard and putting in the effort to FILL their tub full of hygiene products for our HMS Hygiene Drive! Keep up the awesomeness and keep bringing those hygiene items!!

🎣 First Fish Alert! Several of our students recently caught their very first fish in Outdoor Ed, and the smiles say it all! We love seeing students try new things, build confidence, and enjoy learning outside the classroom. Way to go, anglers! 🐟👏

We were honored to have Huntsville Mayor Mr. Dotson spend time speaking with our EAST students on March 4th. We know his schedule is busy, and we truly appreciate him taking the time to invest in our students. Thank you for supporting and encouraging the next generation in Huntsville! 👏

📚 Blind Date with a Book was a hit!

It was so fun seeing students take a chance on a new book and get excited about reading.

📣🌿 Exciting News for Huntsville Middle School! Huntsville Middle School has been awarded $5,432.13 through the Arkansas Game and Fish Wildlife Education Grant Program! 🎉 This funding will support our students by giving them even more opportunities to learn through hands-on outdoor experiences. A huge thank you to Mr. Jared Henry for pursuing this grant and helping expand opportunities for our students. These resources will be used in our Outdoor Education class, helping students connect with nature, conservation, and real-world science. 🌎🐟🌲 We are grateful to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Division of Rural Services for investing in our students and their learning!

Spring Picture Day will be this Thursday, March 12!

Please remember: students will only have their photo taken if a picture order is placed. To make sure your student is photographed, you must either:
✔️ Order online, (visit my.lifetouch.com and the Picture Day ID: EVTXXZ7GC) or
✔️ Send the picture envelope back to school with payment. (These will be sent home today)

If you would like your student to participate in Spring Pictures, be sure to complete one of these options by Thursday. We can’t wait to see all those bright spring smiles! 😊

Our Junior FFA students at Huntsville Middle School started our morning off right! 🥞💙 In celebration of FFA Week, they teamed up to make delicious pancakes for our staff — and they were SO yummy! We are so thankful for these students and Mrs. Comer for serving with such a great attitude and for making our morning extra special. We appreciate you! 🌾👏

We are so proud of our HMS Eagles in wrestling! 🤼‍♂️💪 🏆 Timothy Grout brought home Novice Champion in his division and also earned 3rd place in the Open division — what an incredible accomplishment! 🏆 Beckett Smith claimed Novice Champion in his division, making him a 2x Novice State Champion! Their hard work, dedication, and determination truly paid off. We’re so proud of these boys and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next! 💙👏

🤩🧹 Builders Club in Action! 🧹🤩 Our HMS Builders Club spent part of their afternoon giving back by helping with a campus cleanup. We are so proud of their commitment to community service and taking pride in keeping our campus clean and beautiful. Thank you, Builders Club, for leading by example! 👏✨

Call all Bright Futures Champions and Community Partners!! Last Spring semester’s personal care item drive was truly amazing! Because of your generosity, school counselors and nurses were able to fully stock our support closets and meet the needs of so many students! Your support made an immediate and meaningful difference. At this time, we have used most of those items and are in need of restocking. It is hard to fully express how helpful it is to have these essentials on hand. Not only are we able to provide items when students request them, but having hygiene items available also allows us to be proactive. We have been able to prepare care bags to share with families during parent nights and conferences—quietly removing barriers and helping students come to school confident and ready to learn! Please see the photo for details about our current drive and the items most needed. If you would like a drop off bin to help us with this drive at your business or organization, please let us know! THANK YOU for continuing to stand beside our students and families. Your kindness and generosity truly matter, and we are so grateful for the champions you are for our community.
